Meet the Heart of Our Church Family

Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to nurture faith, foster community, and guide our church in living out God’s mission.

Our Pastor

Rev. Dr. Jason Wilkerson has served as a licensed local pastor in the United Methodist Church since 2017.  “Brother Jason” was appointed to Greenbrier United Methodist Church in July of 2020.  Prior to serving as the lead pastor of Greenbrier UMC, he served as the Associate Pastor of Springfield First United Methodist for three years.

He is a native of Springfield Tennessee.  He attended the University of Tennessee and is a 1999 graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree.  He has worked as an optometrist in Springfield since that time.  Currently he is a part-time student at Asbury Theological Seminary where he is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree.

Brother Jason makes his home in Coopertown Tennessee and is married to his high school sweetheart, Jenny.  They have three amazing children: Jack, Kate, and Abby.  They are also the proud parents of two cats named Ace and Dahlia.

Brother Jason enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

    JOY Ministry (Just Older Youth)

Guided by Passion, United in Purpose

Our staff works hand in hand with our ministries to bring the love of Christ to life within our church and community. Each ministry is an extension of our shared mission to serve, teach, and grow together in faith.

From nurturing the youngest in our children’s program to inspiring our youth, supporting families, and reaching out to those in need, our ministries are where faith meets action. Led by dedicated staff and volunteers, these programs are designed to help every member of our congregation find their purpose and make a difference.
